NEW YEARS BLAST!!!
« on: January 02, 2012, 11:59:28 AM »

The wife and I decided to go offshore Saturday and come back in spend the night on the boat. After catching bait.( which was a lot easier than the last time) left stump pass about 7:00 am, sea conditions were great 1 to 2 foot seas with a light wind. Stopping around 8 miles out. Watching the fish finder and dropping baits anytime I  seen something , we zig our way out picking up short reds, baitfish, porggies. Not much else. Picked up and ran to the bayroato only to find 11 boats on it ran to 44 miles dropping a array of baits down to find what they wanted and this day it was pinfish. Caught about 20 reds. Keeping 4 ( 26" or better) headed back in anchoring near the pink elephant, settling in for the night, grilling steaks and drinking a few beers, we watched the fireworks and the boat parade was a blast.can't remember a better time on the water.til next time.have a great new year!

Sounds like a nice trip and you picked a good time to do considering what the weather is like now. Yesterdays forecast was for 5 to 8 foot seas.

It's nice having a boat you can sleep on, it makes for a whole different boating experience.
