Anchor types
« on: October 24, 2011, 07:12:02 PM »
Big John here,

Still rigging for my first winter of fishing in Florida (Marco Island) just about set except for one last item that has been hanging e up for weeks.

As I will be doing mostly backwater, more trolling nearshore fishing out to the 3 mile line (I hope) I want to add an electric anchor whinch. Anchor type will have allot to do with my electric model I install.

What type of bottom will I be encountering and what type of anchor will be best all around anchor given the varoius bottom I might experience ????

Will a River anchor hold in tidal curents of the Marco river ?? Or do I need more like a Delta, etc. ????????

Thanks,

Big John
